The book begins with Christopher’s discovery of his neighbor’s dog, Wellington,

who has been fatally attacked. With little help from the police, Christopher chooses to investigate the death of Wellington himself. The story follows Christopher as he attempts to navigate the people and the social world around him in his effort to solve the mysterious murder.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time has been received positively by both the public and professionals in the field of autism. The story won the Boeke Prize and the Whitbread Book of the Year, and the author won the Alex Award.
