Mariah Bashir is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She holds a Masters’ degree in Special Education with a specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorders from the University of British Columbia. Her areas of interest currently are functional communication, providing ABA intervention to those with selective mutism, and teaching daily living skills. She believes that all students, regardless of their ability, should have the opportunity to be included in a general education classroom due to the enriched learning environment that it provides, and its ability to help foster a higher sense of self worth for the student. In her spare time, she can be found hiking or snowboarding the mountains, and traveling.
