Nick Kwan has been teaching computer science and working in the field of educational technology for more than 30 years. He holds a Bachelors of Science (Computer Science – UBC), Bachelors of Education (Computer Science and Mathematics – UBC), Masters of Science (Multidisciplinary Studies – SUNY Buffalo), and a Certificate in Educational Technology (SUNY Buffalo). His teaching career started off in the Lower Mainland and then he moved overseas to work in international schools in Istanbul, Beijing, Warsaw, and Singapore. As an educational technologist, he has been exploring coaching faculty through the lens of Mindset Theory, as well as building capacity and a school culture of learning, innovation, and professional sharing. As an educator, he has always believed in the power of personalized and experiential learning for all students. Nick is an Apple Distinguished Educator (Asia Class of 2007) and Google Certified Teacher and Innovator, in addition to being a father, husband, photographer, world traveler and household head chef.
