Tanner Burns is a certified teacher and board certified behaviour analyst (BCBA). She holds a double Masters of Science in Early Childhood and Childhood Education and Special Education from Niagara University in New York. She recently relocated from Ontario where she worked in a specialized treatment classroom for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who engaged in severely challenging behaviour. Her current areas of interest include bridging the gaps between applied behaviour analysis (ABA) and the education system, treating challenging behaviour, and working closely with classroom teachers to support inclusion. Tanner believes that all students have a right to effective education and should be provided with the support they need to thrive. In her spare time, Tanner enjoys spending time on the island, cooking, and binge watching Netflix.
