Veena Birring Hayer is a Registered Social Worker. She holds a Master of Social Work with a concentration in disabilities and mental health from the University of British Columbia. Her areas of interest currently include capacity building for caregivers of children with Autism to support increased knowledge, strategies and navigation of complex systems. She believes that children with autism can reach their best potential when their caregivers have the appropriate tools and resources to support them in collaboration with school and community teams. In her spare time, Veena enjoys travelling with her family locally and abroad.
