To empower school teams across the province of BC in supporting students with ASD. Through building local capacity, we increase the success of students with ASD in the school system.

We empower school teams by

  • Developing the knowledge and skills of school district staff to access, evaluate, and implement evidence-based practice
  • Changing the behaviours of school staff by providing opportunities for active involvement, practice, and success in their own setting
  • Promoting the confidence of school district staff in their skills of working with students with ASD
  • Building the capacity of school district staff, increasing their reliance on more local expertise than “expert” support
  • Improving school staff perceptions of their ability to support students with ASD

To encourage collaboration and partnerships between systems that support students with ASD, and to promote meaningful consultation between schools, families, and community teams.
